For enthusiasts who like to log their journeys, the Railway Performance Society records real-world train running and timings across Britain's network — a natural companion to these sleeper timetables.
More for the enthusiast: the Caledonian Railway Association and North British Railway Study Group cover the historic Scottish lines the Caledonian Sleeper now runs; the Branch Line Society and Railway Club Directory are good starting points for UK rail groups; and UK & Ireland Heritage Railways and the Historical Model Railway Society are worth a look for preserved lines and modelling history.
