SleeperTrain.co.uk · Transparency
Affiliate disclosure & editorial independence.
We believe you should know exactly how a site you trust makes its money. Here it is, in plain terms.
How we make money
SleeperTrain.co.uk is free to read. We fund the site mainly through affiliate and partner links. When you click certain outbound links — to a booking partner, a luggage brand, an insurer, an experience provider or a carriage supplier — and go on to book or buy, we may earn a small commission. It costs you nothing extra; the price you pay is the same as going direct.
What this does and doesn't change
It does not change what we recommend. Our route guides, cabin advice, fare figures and verdicts are written first-hand and based on merit — we recommend the option we'd choose ourselves, and we tell you plainly when a service isn't worth the money, even if it earns us nothing. A commission never buys a placement, a rating or a kind word. We are not a train operator or a booking agent: when you book, we send you directly to the operator or its official booking partner, and we never add a fee of our own.
How to spot an affiliate link
Outbound commercial links carry a clear label near them — "affiliate link" or "we may earn a commission" — and open on the partner's own website. Booking and product buttons are marked as sponsored links. Purely editorial internal links (to our own guides and pages) are never affiliate links.
Our partners
We work with reputable travel and retail partners across rail booking, luggage and travel goods, airport lounges, eSIM and connectivity, travel insurance, experiences, and — for our Buy a Carriage service — rolling-stock and glamping suppliers. We only link to partners on a vetted allowlist, and we decline anything we wouldn't genuinely suggest to a friend.
Questions
