    SleeperTrain.co.uk · About

The independent guide to Britain's overnight trains.

We help travellers plan, choose and book sleeper journeys across the UK and Europe — and do it with less anxiety and more confidence than any operator website leaves you with.

    What we cover

SleeperTrain.co.uk is a dedicated guide to overnight and luxury rail travel — the Caledonian Sleeper and GWR Night Riviera in Britain, plus ÖBB Nightjet, European Sleeper and the Venice Simplon-Orient-Express across Europe. We publish route guides, cabin and fare comparisons, destination pages, a sourced UK sleeper-train statistics hub, an answers library, and honest, practical booking advice.

    How we research

Our guides are written first-hand from real journeys and cross-referenced against the operators' own information and published sources. Every figure — fares, timetables, cabin details, carbon and ridership data — is dated and, where it can move, flagged so you reconfirm it before you travel. When a service isn't worth the money, we say so. Accuracy is the whole point: this is a reference you should be able to trust at the moment you book.

    Independent, and honest about it

We are an independent guide — not a train operator, and not a booking agent. When you book, we send you directly to the operator or its official booking partner; we never add a fee. Some outbound links are affiliate links, which means we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That funds the site and keeps our guides free — but it never buys a recommendation. Who's behind it

    Stephen Hall

    Founder & Editor

Stephen founded SleeperTrain.co.uk after years of taking Britain's overnight trains — from a Classic berth on the Caledonian Sleeper to the Night Riviera down to Cornwall, and the Wagons-Lits to Venice. Frustrated that the practical detail was scattered across operator pages and forums, he built the guide he wished he'd had: first-hand, accurate, and honest about what's worth the money.

"The sleeper is the most civilised way to travel Britain — you just have to know how to book it. That's what this site is for."

SleeperTrain.co.uk is a small, independent UK editorial project — not a content farm — and we answer our own email. Have a correction, a question, or a partnership idea? Get in touch.
